Tour. Reputation. Debut vinyl release.

A lot of news to cover. COMFORTABLE ON A TIGHTROPE will be issuing the debut 7". "Wrong / The Road To War" features a remix of one of the first Apostille tracks and the latest recorded work. The 7" will feature a screenprinted sleeve, stamped labels and a download code.
You can pre-order it at the Night School distro site. To celebrate the tour and to see old friends there will be a short Apostille tour. The dates are below.

I hope you can make it to one of the shows. Some new songs that will be played out:

Green Flowers. Quintron.

Autumnal good times. This Thursday at Birthdays I'm playing a show with long-time favourite Quintron and Miss Pussycat and fellow traveller Ela Orleans. The show is courtesy of the good people at Upset The Rhythm. Get an advance ticket here. Further news about an Apostille UK tour and debut vinyl release will follow.

See Everyone. Terror Bird show.

One of my favourite artists this century is Terror Bird, ostensibly the recording moniker of Nikki Never. I booked a tour for Terror Bird last year which re-defined the idea of 'shoe-string budget,' producing many laughs on the way. Terror Bird's first release in the UK was 'Outside' which I was fortunate enough to release in February of last year. So it's with a lot of pride and excitement to announce that I'm hosting her only 2012 UK show at the Waiting Room (formerly the Drop) in Stoke Newington, London. Also playing will be Bomber Jackets who haven't played a show since the release of their recent EP on Night School 'Centurion Travel' EP. For purely selfish reasons Apostille completes the bill. The show takes place on September 4th. 8pm.

In the meantime. See Everyone.

New Shows.

The next Apostille show is on Friday 29th at 113. The show will be with Le Cercle Des Mallissimalistes who judging from this video will be performing a sweaty guitar ritual en masse in the London heat.
Le cercle des Mallissimalistes from Hartzine on Vimeo.
This band features Jan who's always very accommodating in Bordeaux and also plays in a great avant pop group called Chocolat billy. After that the next scheduled show is on the 24th of July with Mazes at the Seabright Arms.. more on that later.

Wild World. Don't Think.

A busy few weeks have passed. The next Apostille show will be in Brighton for Sex is Disgusting's Wild World festival. Sex is Disgusting are good friends and have been responsible for some of the best D.I.Y. shows in Brighton. 'Wild World' is their farewell bash and has a great line up. The Apostille set will be on Sunday 3rd of June at 3pm. Also playing that day are Design A Wave, R. Stevie Moore, Keel Her and Mazes amongst others. I'll be debuting a new song. and will be carrying some of the Birthday Tapes split with Meddicine. There's also some new shows scheduled for the end of June, more on that soon.

Sounds From The Other City. Wild World. To Forget.

Two new Apostille shows to note. Sounds From The Other City is a city-wide festival taking place in Manchester this weekend featuring an amazing pan-global line up. Apostille performance is on the Comfortable On A Tightrope stage at The King's Arms on MAY 6th. Brotherband PLEASE will be playing later on the same stage, along with The Rebel, Meddicine, Molly Nilsson and others!
ON 3rd of JUNE I'll be playing at WILD WORLD festival at the The Green Store in Brighton with Keel Her, Sealings, Design A Wave, Gross Magic, Mazes and R Stevie Moore to mark the passing of the lamented Sex Is Disgusting label/booker. More news to follow.

Future Islands Show. Pisces.

March 6th is the first Apostille show in London. Delighted to be playing with long-time pals Way Through and Future Islands. Handsome poster. Head to http://www.upsettherhythm.co.uk/ to buy tickets, records, or to just hang out.
The first Apostille release will be on Comfortable On A Tightrope of Manchester. The song 'The Journal' will form one side (the other being music from Meddicine) of the "Pisces" cassette - an ongoing project representing the 12 signs of the zodiac and featuring a variety of visual and audio artists. Artwork for the cassette courtesy of Matthew Walkerdine. http://birthdaytapes.bandcamp.com/ for more information.

First Show. Next Show. Listen.

First Apostille show was with friends Comfortable On A Tightrope in Manchester on Saturday 11th. Was amazing to hang out with Perry, Laetitia, Sam, their friends and Molly Nilsson, who performed a swoonsome set. Afterwards we danced at a Northern Soul night and got told off for bumping into people. For Serious Dancers only.

NEXT SHOW: THE SCALA, with Future Islands and Way Through on Tuesday 6th March. Check out the Upset The Rhythm website for more info.
